Are you between 16 and 19 years old and eager to learn about a new country and culture without being a tourist? Then you’ve come to the right place!

With Wonder Expeditions you will:

Meet young people from all over the world who, like you, have a desire for discovery and the drive to get involved.

Discover a new country, its culture and traditions through an experience that truly connects you with the local people.

Practice English in a natural and effective way, without lectures, while working towards a common goal.

Gain experience as an active global citizen.

Language Immersion

The Wonder Expedition will connect you with teens, children and adults from all over the world, all united by the same goal. The projects, training and communications are all conducted in English. You’ll have the chance to practice the language while also hearing many different accents!

International Volunteering

For the summer of 2025, we have chosen a Wonder Expedition of international volunteering in the field of education. Together with a C Wonder chaperone, your fellow adventurers and other international volunteers, you will help run a Summer Camp in English for local children.

Discovery of a New Culture

While living abroad, you will have time to learn, explore, chat, listen, visit and walk. You will have the time and opportunity to discover a new culture in all its authenticity and beauty. You will get to know local people of different ages and connect with them and their lifestyle.

C Wonder Style

The entire project is organized and managed in C Wonder style. This means that you will be part of a close-knit group, that your contribution will be important, and that your voice will be sought after and heard. And it also means that, all together, we will get to try new things and grow.

Where?

Miercurea Ciuc, Transilvania, Romania.

When?

From July 20th 2025 to August 9th 2025.

One week of orientation and training; two weeks of volunteering work.



Who?

Kids between the ages of 13 and 16, with a C Wonder chaperone.

Max. 15 participants.

C Wonder Expedition 2025 is a project close to our hearts.

We’re excited to share it with each of you!

We’ve always sought opportunities for kids your age to see the real world, not through the filter of social media, so as to truly use foreign languages and to experience real growth.

We deeply believe that this adventure will change your life. Why?

Because the New Zealand volunteer organization running the project organizes everything in English, creating a universal language for everyone involved: you’ll have a chance to practice English daily with everyone and hear many different accents in an immersive environment, and without having to sit at a classroom’s desk.

Because you’ll have the chance to discover a lesser-known, yet equally wondrous, part of the world. To experience the local culture, learn even a few words in the two official languages, Romanian and Hungarian, and understand a lifestyle different from your own.

Because it will be an unparalleled growth experience, one that will require each of you to care for others, especially younger ones, and for them to be an example and someone to look up to. Because putting yourself out there for the sake of others is one of the greatest satisfactions you can experience.

Because fear and the need for protection always originate in ignorance, and you, the leaders of tomorrow, can begin right now to contribute to the change that is increasingly needed in the world through knowledge and understanding.

Pre-departure trainings

Any undertaking can be tackled with the right equipment and preparation!

Several training meetings are planned for the C Wonder group, before departure, in person and/or online. The training meetings will always be in English. They will be opportunities to begin to familiarize yourself with using English to communicate effectively, to get to know your fellow adventurers, and to better prepare yourself for this life-changing experience.

Travel Logistics

We will depart with the whole group from Venice, Italy, on Sunday July 20th 2025.

If you are coming from distant parts of Italy or from other European countries, please contact us now: we will arrange to accommodate you at the right time so that you can travel with others.
