Azra
I have always lived with three strong certainties:
my fascination towards cultures different from mine, my love for foreign languages, English in particular, and the fact that I am a people person.
Right after graduating in Public Relations at the University of Udine, in 2022, I started working with Chiara, who introduced me to the incredible world of Camp.
I realized the three pillars that had always defined me and guided me can coexist in one space, which promotes inclusion and openness towards others.
My origins have given me a strong push towards the world and a great curiosity, as I was raised bilingual.
At home, with my family, I have always spoken Serbian-Croatian and outside Italian.
My childhood has surely defined me as a person, but I only recently, as an adult, realized the great privilege I have had being able, since birth, to speak two languages, to know two religions and to live two cultures.
My family background, together with a huge amount of curiosity, has pushed me to want to get to know even more cultures, languages, places and people.
I believe this is one of the reasons why I fell in love with English:
it is a way to communicate with so many different people, in places far from one another!
Recently, I have developed what I am not ashamed to define as a travel addiction, a thirst for discovery!
Exploring parts of the world, both near and far, has often placed me in front of situations that are very different from my day to day experiences.
The realization that such situations are normal everyday experiences for someone else is a magical feeling, which encourages me to open up more towards different perspectives.
I treasure every single moment of these journeys.
During these years of work with Chiara, immersed in Camp Culture, I have finally felt like I’ve found my place in the world.
A place where diversity has value, where everyone can express themselves and try, respecting others but not fearing to be judged.
Stepping out of my comfort zone has been a challenge at times, but it’s also been my greatest pride and the main drive of my growth.
Knowing the whole world can benefit from the immense learning value of Camp Culture gives me great joy.
I cannot wait to share this value with everyone who will cross our path!
